MidiLink is a miniaturised serial port MIDI interface for a PC with Windows 3.1x, ´95, ´98, ME, NT4.0, 2000, XP, Vista or 7 installed. Extreme performance is achieved by using the low latency serial port for MIDI. No USB or Firewire conversion is needed! With midiLink MIDI interface you can easily get started in a few minutes without the need to open your computer. NOTE: Some 64-bit programs cannot use this 32-bit driver!

MidiLink is a miniaturised high quality 1 in (16 channels) 1 out (16 channels) MIDI interface using state of the art electronics to allow connection of any MIDI instrument to a PC. The midiLink is powered directly from the PC serial port, only drawing the same amount of power as a typical serial port Mouse, coupled with the size of the midiLink makes this a truly portable solution. Perfect for Notebooks. Up to four simultaneously active Windows MIDI-applications can use midiLink (only Win95/98). The midiLink package consists of an active cable, a Windows MIDI driver on a CDROM and a User’s Guide. The User´s Guide is available in English, French, German and Swedish versions. 
 

How to use midiLink

Plug the midiLink active cable into an available serial port on the back panel of your computer. Connect your musical instruments with MIDI-cables to the DIN connectors marked IN/OUT. No external power supply is needed. Before use the included Windows MIDI driver must be installed. Refer to the Users Guide or the FAQ Some computers equipped with a 25-pole serial port D-sub requires a 9 to 25-pole adaptor.
