Real Remote for Audio/MIDI Controller
Now you can control your
favourite music software with a remote control while singing in a microphone,
playing the guitar, performing live or mixing the music at your mixerboard.
The Real Remote is a complete package for controlling your Audio/MIDI programs.
The package consists of a Remote Control, IR receiver, Controller
software and a Users Guide.
Real Remote is not just
the flexible replacement for the simple 'remote control' function found
in many MIDI sequencers it is also fully programmable. Any key on the Remote
Control can be attached to any button in your program...any series of key
strokes and mouse clicks you can think of.
The
Controller Software
The software is optimized for
controlling Audio/MIDI softwares. The Real Remote controller software use
Macros consisting of mouse moves/clicks and key strokes in order to control
your program. A number of options are available in the program to make
it possible to control your program in the best way. Since Real Remote
is relying on the functionality of your MIDI/Audio software, please keep
in mind that some of the functions indicated on the remote control may
not apply to you.
The Learn function
The Learn function in the
Macro menu makes it possible to record an IR code from almost any remote
control and store this code in the selected Macro. A nice option is use
a Wrist Watch Controller, Casio have one, with the Real Remote. This is
real nice when playing the guitar for example !
Template files
Several Template files for
well known Audio/MIDI programs are installed with this package. Since there
is differences between many MIDI/Audio programs and even between program
versions, these Template files must be regarded as templates and a starting
point to control your particular program.Template files for the following

You can easily edit these templates by recording a macro with your mouse and/or computer keyboard and assigning it to a key on the remote controller.

Plug in the IR Receiver
in one of your computers serial ports and install the controller software.
The templates for many MIDI/Audio softwares makes it possible to get started
in minutes. Real Remote uses "keyboard/mouse emulation" to control the
functions in your MIDI/Audio software. By recording a macro with your mouse
and/or computer keyboard and assigning it to a key on the remote
controller you can easily edit the templates.
